The MPO polarity tester is an essential tool designed for engineers to efficiently ascertain the integrity of MPO to MPO fiber optic matrix cables and determine the A/B/C polarity of their MPO connectors. It is compatible with both single-mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) MPO cables, as well as MPO input/output ports equipped with either physical contact (PC) or angled physical contact (APC) connectors.

By emitting a 650 nm red visible light through the fiber optic cable, the tester is capable of detecting breaks in the channel. When a break is detected, the refracted light creates a distinct bright glow around the fault area. Simultaneously, the display will indicate the presence of a break with the pattern "--". Additionally, the tester features 12 LEDs that provide a clear visual representation of the status of each of the 12 or 8 channel, further aiding in the identification of any issues.

The output modes of the laser diode include the following three options:

Scan: Designed for testing MPO to MPO array cable or fan-out ones.

CW, Continuous: Intended for testing fan-out cables continuously.

Pulse: Specifically for testing fan-out cables with pulsed light emissions.
