The 400GBASE-ER8 QSFP-DD optical transceiver is a high-performance module designed for 400GbE long-haul applications up to 40km over single-mode fiber (SMF).
It converts 8×53.125Gb/s (PAM4) electrical inputs into 8 LWDM optical channels multiplexed within the 1310nm band (1264.5–1337.5nm) for an aggregate data rate of 400Gb/s.
On the receiver side, the module demultiplexes the 8 optical channels and converts them back to 8 PAM4 electrical outputs.
Compliant with IEEE 802.3cn 400GBASE-ER8, QSFP-DD MSA HW Rev 5.0, and CMIS 4.0, it supports digital diagnostics via the I²C interface and is optimized for carrier-grade and data center backbone networks.
